Leon and Sherri Schwartz opened their doors on Main Street in Woodbridge 29 years ago. They are called the Carpet Maven, because they were a carpet store when they first started out. They grew from carpeting to flooring and onto window treatments. They are a hands on Mom and Pop store who take their business very seriously, and want to make every customer happy. Leon has been in the flooring business since he graduated from School. Sherri joined him a few years later, and is also an Interior Decorator. Together this couple help to decorate their customers homes and offices with their expert knowledge of products, colors, patterns, and fibers. They continue to take classes on all of the new and upcoming products in the flooring and window treatment industry.
They have been very involved in the Community over the past 29 years. They have served on the Woodbridge Chamber Board of Directors, Executive Board of Directors, they are huge sponsors of sports teams, school events, scholarships, and the Woodbridge Downtown Cruise which they have chaired for the past 22 years, and Leon is the President of the Main Street Merchant’s Association.
They opened their doors on Main Street in Metuchen over two years ago. They bring the same beliefs about their business and making every customer happy. They are involved with the Community in Metuchen just as much as they are in Woodbridge. Leon is on the MDA Board, and also on the Metuchen Chamber of Commerce Board. They sponsor sports teams, car shows, theatre groups, and are involved with the Street Fairs and Art Fests.
